Leg of Lamb, Bone-In
Experience the robust flavour and tenderness of our locally sourced bone-in leg of lamb, perfect for any festive feast or family dinner.
How It’s Made
Our bone-in leg of lamb is meticulously prepared by expert butchers. This prime cut, sourced from local farms dedicated to ethical and sustainable practices, is carefully trimmed while retaining the bone to enhance its natural juiciness and rich flavour during cooking.
Cooking Instructions
Cooking our bone-in leg of lamb is straightforward and rewarding:
- Roasting: Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C fan). Place the lamb in a roasting tray, season generously with salt, pepper, garlic, and rosemary. Roast for approximately 20-25 minutes per 500g for medium-rare, adjusting as per your preference. Rest the lamb for 15-20 minutes before carving to allow the juices to redistribute.
- Slow Cooking: For a melt-in-your-mouth experience, slow cook the leg. Place it in a pot with vegetables, broth, and herbs, and simmer gently for 4-5 hours until the meat is tender and falls off the bone.
Storage Instructions
To maintain its freshness and quality:
- Refrigerate: Store in the coldest part of your refrigerator at 1-4°C and consume within 2-3 days of purchase.
- Freeze: Wrap tightly in plastic wrap or foil, or place in a freezer-safe container. Freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before cooking.
