How It Is Made

Our rump steaks come from grass-fed cattle raised on open pastures, where they graze naturally and sustainably. Where It Is Butchered From

The rump steak is cut from the hindquarter of the cow, specifically from the bottom round area. This cut is known for its rich, beefy flavour and slightly firmer texture compared to other cuts like fillet or sirloin.

Cooking Instructions

• Pan-Seared: Preheat a heavy-based pan over high heat. Season the steak with salt and pepper. Add a knob of butter or a drizzle of oil to the pan and sear the steak for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting cooking time to your preferred doneness.
• Grilled: Preheat your grill to high. Season the steak and grill for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting the time for your desired level of doneness.

Storage Instructions

• Refrigerate: Store in the coldest part of your fridge at 1-4°C and consume within 2-3 days of purchase.
• Freeze: For longer storage, tightly wrap the steak in cling film or vacuum-sealed bags and freeze. Use within six months for best quality.
• Thawing: Thaw in the refrigerator overnight for optimal texture and flavour before cooking.
